Thrift shopping: yes or no?

Today I'd like to talk about my passion, something that helps me forget about my problems and something that makes me loose track of time - shopping. Just like most girls I love shopping very much. Before quarantine my mom and I used shopping as some kind of therapy. We were the best shopping buddies and went to the malls almost every weekends. Going to the secondhand stores was also a part of our shopping journey.

Certainly, everyone likes stylish and good quality clothing. But the problem is that the clothes of popular brands may cost a good deal of money. Now, I personally not a big fan of spending large amounts of money on designer clothes. I mean, I love expensive brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada and others, but I personally wouldn't spend millions of dollars to fill my wardrobe with designer dresses, bags and shoes. I believe that it is amazing to be able to afford the clothes of such brands but it's important not to go too far with it.

I can say that I'm absolutely in favour of thrift shopping. In secondhand stores you can find so many popular brands and the clothing of actually good quality. I feel like nowadays thrift shopping has become a trend. So many bloggers and stars do not hide the fact hat they buy clothing in secondhand stores. Moreover, there are so many thrift flip videos on Youtube where people turn secondhand clothing into trendy outfits.
I do have friends that don't understand thrift shopping saying that it's unsanitary and new clothing is so much better and most importantly - no one had worn it before. Well, everyone has their own opinions about things and it's okay. I believe that wearing thrift clothing is absolutely safe as long as you wash it after buying.
To sum up, thrift shopping is amazing way to save money and stay stylish at the same time. If you haven't bought anything from thrift stores (which is very weired if you actually haven't:) I encourage you to try it and to insipre you, I'll soon do a post about outfit ideas.

Thank you so much for reading my thoughts till the end:) I will see you very soon!

Life without social media

Today I want to talk about a very important topic - how social media influences our life and daily routines. No doubt, Instagram , Twitter , Facebook (yep, many people including me still use it ) , Youtube and many more platforms have become a significant part of our lifestyle. I'm pretty sure that 90% of people start their day by going on Instagram and checking their Mail. On the one hand I'm so grateful that we have social media. Mainly, because with its help we can communicate with our loved once. We can have conversations and video chats on Zoom or Skype and it's so important during this not easy times. But on the other hand, it's really scary to see people on their devices all the time. I mean it's some sort of addiction. Everytime we start to feel bored or have nothing to do we grab our phone and literally wasting our lives watching videos or pictures of other people having fun and living their best lives. It's crazy to me. I, myself, was really addicted t...

Why self-care is important + self-care checklist

Sometimes we all feel stressed, tired and overwhelmed. In such phases of our lives we forget to be grateful for the things that we have, start focusing on negative emotions and , therefore, surround ourselves with negative enerergy. When we feel this way it is important to give our body and brain some rest and start doing something that makes us happy. I personaly love doing self-care days (or even weeks) when I dedicate  time to my hobbies and well-being. Self-care days help me to remember to be thankful for what I have and don't take things for granted. On such days it is also important to stay off social media and focus on the moment.  My personal hobby is cooking. When I cook I forget about any problems and I don't even notice how the time passes. So on my self-care days I like to cook. The other thing I like to do is morning runs and simple workouts. I'm not a morning workout type of person, but stretches is the only thing my body is able to do in the morning. Journali...

How to make the most out of your mornings

A good start of the morning is the key to a productive and happy day. In this post I'm going to share with you my morning routine and some tips that help me to feel energetic and motivated throughout the day.  1. An hour without a phone I've already talked about this in my previous post. I've been learning to start my day without Instagram, Twitter and other social platforms. It really helps  to keep my mind clear for the first hour after waking up and I just feel more calm and present by doing this. It is a very simple habit but I really encourage you to try it. 2. Stretches After making my bed, brushing my theeth and washing my face I'm trying to convince myself to do a little work out. Unfortunately, I've never been in good relationships with sport and working out is the last thing I want to do in the morning:D But I figured that it is so much easier to do a 5 min morning stretches. I'm just doing torso twists, shoulder stretch, bending forward etc. It really...
